Equipment: 2017 Visit to The Coop at Toy Fair…Geek Chic at its Finest

Some years ago while I wandered around Toy Fair I came the coop logoacross a booth that was displaying pet products and bags. There was something about this crew that I liked. When we spoke it seemed as though I had found kindred spirits. Now some years have passed and I have done many reviews for The Coop and I realized that I was correct about them…they were on the edge of greatness.

Flash forward to 2017 and The Coop is still going strong. Between their video game licenses and their media licenses they are a force to be reckoned with…ok so maybe I am laying it on thicker than butter on pancakes but damn do they make some quality items. As I said I have written several reviews for them and I have never been disappointed. Most recently there was a Star Trek Duffel Bag that just blew me away. I have purchased items from other companies, one of them is called Bio something or other…Biocrap? That could be it…seriously they made a Guardians of the Galaxy bag that was so cheap I give it 6 months of moderate use before it is useless. The Coop on the other hand makes products that will be with you for years. Hell my children will be using my Halo Backpack long after I am dead. I am not just saying this about The Coop because I like them I am saying it because it is true.

The Coop is branching out. Not just content with pet products (Walking Dead shirt for your dog? Star Trek uniform for your cat who thinks he is a dog…they have it), The Coop now also produces some high quality journals. Imagine that, paper you can write thoughts upon and not share to the world…what are these maniacs thinking?  They also offer a wide variety of key fobs, lanyards and even wallets. Even the smallest product is high quality. The catnip tribbles from Star Trek are my favorite…and my cat’s. He claimed it 10 minutes after it was gifted to him.

This year The Coop has a line of products from the very popular video game series, BioShock. Wallets, messenger bags and backpacks are just the tip of the iceberg. Check out the photo gallery and get over to The Coop’s website and see all they have to offer. One of the coolest things is the Star Trek Original Series Captain’s Chair Pet Bed. Sadly my cats wouldn’t sit in it;  they would claim the box it arrived in instead.

So much to choose from with products from the hit series, The Walking Dead, Star Trek The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation and retro licenses a person could go broke picking up all of the cool stuff. Don’t follow the flock, check out The Coop and you won’t be disappointed.
