Equipment: Hallmark Batman Ornament

The Christmas season is in full swing. The halls are decked, the eggnog is chilled and the tree is trimmed. Even though the tree is laden with garland, tinsel, bulbs and ornaments; did you remember the ornaments for that special someone in your family? Everyone has something they love. Whether it’s cars, sports or popular culture, Hallmark has the ornament for them.

One of the best things about Hallmark is the level of quality they put into every single ornament they make. This level of quality makes each ornament not just a decoration for your Yule tree but a little statue for every day. Hallmark ornaments look just as good on a desk as they do on a branch. Hallmark ornaments are the perfect year round gift.
Hallmark has the ability to make larger than life characters into something amazing that fits into the palm of your hand. This is the case with one of the most iconic Pop Culture characters in the world: Batman. Batman was created by Bob Kane in 1939 and has filled comic book pages, Saturday morning cartoons and movie screens for decades. There isn’t a person alive who wouldn’t recognize the Caped Crusader. Hallmark has taken this legend and made him into an awesome ornament.

The Batman ornament for 2011 depicts a design of Batman that is similar to a design from what is known as “The Golden Age” of comic books. The figure measures 5.4 inches from the tip of his flowing cape to hook on his grappler, 3.5 inches at his widest point which is on his cape and “stands” about 3.5. The Batman ornament is depicted in his blue and gray bat-suit with a yellow utility belt. The Batman ornament is sculpted in a manner to give the impression that Batman is swinging into action. The ornament is entitled, “Batman Takes Flight” and it is aptly named. The pose depicts Batman grappling hook in hand swinging (or about to) to stop a crime.

Hallmark ornaments sell out every year so if you are interested in this great Batman I suggest hopping in your Batmobile and picking one up. Speaking of the Batmobile I reviewed it a couple of weeks back and you can read about it here. “Batman Takes Flight” retails for 14.95 and can be found at any Hallmark Gold Crown store.
