Training Simulations: Max Payne Launches June 1 for PC

Max Payne 3 for PC will now launch in North America and the rest of the world on Friday, June 1.

“Our community has always preferred a single worldwide launch date, and while we couldn’t make it happen for the console versions, we decided to work toward a global release for Max Payne 3 on PC,” said Jennifer Kolbe, VP of Publishing. “Due to production and logistical issues we could not bring the European launch forward, so we worked with US retail to align with the original European launch window and set a new global release date of June 1.”

After receiving perfect scores from Playstation: The Official Magazine, Gamesradar, The Guardian and G4TV, the console version of Max Payne 3 continues to receive critical acclaim, with the Associated Press (Washington Post, Business Week, Huffington Post) calling the game “A cinematic masterpiece… Fans who have been waiting nearly a decade for the next ‘Max Payne’ game should be raising their scotch glasses to Rockstar.” Gamespot scored the game a 9/10 stating “one thing remains true: you can still count on the Max Payne name to deliver some of the most stylish, distinctive, pulse-pounding shooting around.”

Developed in parallel with the console versions, Max Payne 3 for PC supports a wide range of PC hardware specifications from entry-level machines right up to very high end PCs, alongside support for DirectX11 features including tessellation, and support for stereoscopic 3D.
