Day two of Walker Stalker Con was, as I suspected it would be, as crazy a\"IMG_6671\"<\/a><\/span>s a horde of the undead attacking a prison. Saturday is usually the most crowded day at conventions and with the nice weather in the Chicago area there was really no reason to stay home. Despite the multitude of people that were there, it was still a very laid back and friendly atmosphere; not something you would expect to happen where there are zombies walking about.<\/span><\/p>\n

The increased crowd today made me really glad I picked up my press credentials on Friday. From what I witnessed the staff did an outstanding job keeping people moving so the fans could get inside. It is a great thing for fans and workers alike when things at a convention go smoothly. Even the long lines for the talent seemed to move at a pretty good pace. Some lines such as Lauren Cohan and Steven Yeun even had overflow areas. I must say that I have never seen a zombie smile until today (you would smile too if you got to meet Lauren Cohan).<\/span><\/p>\n

There were many more cosplayers today with various zombies and creatures making the rounds. The make-up ranged from the simple all the way to latex appliances for more elaborate transformations. The walker that I first saw yesterday was the one that appeared to be the most realistic. He maintained his character perfectly which helped to keep the illusion. He was so creepy that I saw fit to give him a wide berth. \u00a0Unlike the zombies I met today (yes I spoke with them) the guy from yesterday never broke character and he went the extra mile by wearing colored contacts kicking the illusion up a notch. Bottom line, he scared the shit out of me. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Day two of Walker Stalker Con was definitely a fun day. I really like the way the organizers had things set up. Of recent conventions, this was one of the best I have been to.<\/span><\/p>\n
