Hooker\u201d), WWE\u00ae Superstar John Cena\u00ae, James Marsters (\u201cBuffy The Vampire Slayer,\u201d \u201cTorchwood\u201d), Manu Bennett (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, \u201cArrow\u201d) and Michael Rosenbaum (\u201cSmallville,\u201d Justice League) are among the celebrities scheduled to attend the inaugural Wizard World San Antonio Comic Con, August 1-3 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. It is the ninth of 16 events in the 2014 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) and will also feature a top-drawer collection of well-known comics artists and writers and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Barrowman and Rosenbaum will appear on Saturday and Sunday, August 2-3; Shatner will attend on Friday and Saturday, August 1-2; Cena is scheduled on Sunday only; and the others will be on hand all three days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Superstar comics creators scheduled to attend include Neal Adams (\u201cBatman,\u201d \u201cGreen Lantern\u201d), Mike Mayhew (\u201cThe Star Wars,\u201d \u201cAvengers\u201d), Ethan Van Sciver (\u201cGreen Lantern,\u201d \u201cFlash\u201d), Mike Grell (\u201cAction Comics,\u201d \u201cGreen Arrow\u201d), Phil Ortiz (\u201cThe Simpsons,\u201d \u201cMuppet Babies\u201d), Mario Guevara (\u201cUltimate Future Foundation,\u201d \u201cBlackbeard\u201d), Jorge Molina (\u201cX-Men,\u201d \u201cFear Itself\u201d), Greg Horn (\u201cWalt Disney,\u201d \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d), Michael Golden (\u201cSpider-Man,\u201d \u201cHulk\u201d), Arthur Suydam (\u201cMarvel Zombies,\u201d \u201cArmy of Darkness\u201d) and many others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World San Antonio Comic Con show hours are Friday, August 1, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, August 2, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, August 3, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

A first-class lineup of topical programming takes place all three days at the event, with celebrity Q&A’s, the Wizard World Film Festival, comics-themed sessions, costume contest, movie screenings, evening parties and more. Sunday, August 3, is also Kids Day, with an array of activities and programming specially designed for the younger Wizard World fans.<\/span><\/p>\n
