I have been letting my geek flag fly all of my life. I fully embra\"OLYMPUS<\/a><\/span>ced my geek side even though I was picked on not just by kids in the neighborhood but by my parents. I constantly lived in a fantasy world and sometimes even dressed the part.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>It wasn\u2019t rare for me to carrying around a phaser for dangerous situations. I do still dress the part and live a skewed reality but as an adult it is harder to get away with running around in a cape carrying a light saber. So these days I am somewhat more discreet in my everyday cosplaying.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Even though comic books, science fiction and superheroes are totally mainstream you still can\u2019t dress like Iron Man to go the supermarket without getting strange looks. It is so much easier to put on an X-Men belt buckle and pretend you are a mutant in your mind because no one will ever know. This why the folks at Crowed Coop have the right idea with their line of video game themed messenger, laptop and gym bags for geeks like me.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of these bags is the Halo UNSC Fleet Officer Bag from Crowded Coop. The design of the bag is based on the officer\u2019s uniforms from the extremely popular video game series.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Subtle is the best way to describe the look of this bag.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>I have seen the uniforms in the Halo game and I didn\u2019t notice the similarities between them and the bag right away. One of the reasons I liked this bag is that it actually looks like something a character in the Halo universe would use be issued. The bag is the perfect size for documents and such but to me it is the fact that it is a Halo bag that adds to the coolness factor.<\/span><\/p>\n

The UNSC Fleet Officer Bag is made out of very durable and rugged nylon. The shoulder strap can be attached to several places which gives you more choices over a regular messenger bag. Measuring 13″ H x 12″ W (at widest point) x 3″ D giving you ample room to carry your gear and tablet or pad as long as you electronics do not measure 11.6″ H x 7.31″ W x 0.5″ D. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>So if you are looking for something to carry your laptop you will have to peruse the other bags on the Crowded Coop site. This bag does have plenty of room for other stuff whether it\u2019s your lunch or trusty M6G sidearm.<\/span><\/p>\n
