Syfy<\/strong> announces Reactor<\/i><\/b>, a new, weekly half-hour series debuting\"syfy<\/a><\/strong><\/span> Thursday, July 16 at 11:30pm\/10:30c.<\/span><\/b> Airing during Syfy<\/b>‘s new late-night programming block, which kicks off at 11pm with game show Geeks Who Drink<\/i><\/b>, hosted and produced by Zachary Levi (Heroes Reborn, Chuck<\/i>), Reactor<\/i><\/b>\u2019s 12-episode season will be filmed in front of a studio audience. <\/span><\/p>\n

Hosted by comedian and genre superfan David Huntsberger, <\/em><\/strong>Reactor<\/em><\/strong><\/span> sits at the intersection of science fiction and pop culture, capturing and celebrating all the things sci-fi fans are talking about that week. Through Huntsberger’s unique and irreverent point-of-view, this fast-paced show will tackle everything hot in the genre \u2013 from movies and television to comics — via exclusive clips, the latest must-watch trailers, celebrity guests, comedic sketches and mash ups.<\/p>\n

Huntsberger began his comedy career in 2002.\u00a0 A semi-finalist on NBC\u2019s hit Last Comic Standing, <\/span><\/i>he\u2019s also appeared on<\/i>Comedy Central\u2019s long-running stand-up hit Premium Blend<\/span><\/i>. Huntsberger\u2019s weekly podcast, Professor Blastoff<\/span><\/i>, debuted at #1 on iTunes, was voted #9 in Rolling Stones\u2019 list of top podcasts, and was named to Entertainment Weekly\u2019s \u2018Must List.\u2019\u00a0 His comedy albums include: Humanitis<\/span><\/i>, which was named Serious Comedy\u2019s best of the year in 2011, and 2013\u2019s Explosion Land<\/span><\/i>, which debuted in the Top15 iTunes comedy charts.<\/p>\n
