The Marvel Select Line of figures from Diamond Select Toys\"DSCN1617\"<\/a><\/span> are some of most beautiful and playable figures on the market. Each figure they produce makes me fall in love with the line more and more. Personally, I have been working on completing my Avengers team and trust me, it is taking longer than I wanted. At this rate Loki would have already won.<\/span><\/p>\n

After missing out on him upon his initial release last year for Winter Soldier, I finally have Captain America. When I was a kid I loved Cap. Growing up in NYC I had access to metal garbage pail lids which made perfect shields so I always played Cap when we played Marvel Heroes. Of course now that I am less of a wide eyed innocent and more of a jaded alcoholic I lean more towards Iron Man but Captain America has always held a special place in my heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

This Diamond Select Captain America is based off of Cap\u2019s appearance in Winter Soldier. This figure has 16 points of articulation and stands approximately 7 inches tall. This amazing-looking figure is sculpted by the highly talented folks over at Gentle Giant and it looks great. While this figure has some great possiblilty it does fall short of my favorite DST figure which is Hawkeye from The Avengers. This Captain America figure does do better than the James Barnes version we reviewed last year. That one wasn\u2019t very poseable and the shield was an inaffective clip-on. This Captain America has 2 straps that hold the shield firmly on his arm so it doesn\u2019t fall off when you are playing with him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking of playing with your figures this, Captain America needs to be taken out of the box. I know you \u201ccollectors\u201d out there want to keep everything pristine in the package but where is the fun in that? This collectible, like so many other collectibles, needs to be played with and posed. Speaking of posing this Captain America figure has joints on:<\/span><\/p>\n
