On May 8th, 2009 Star Trek was reborn. \"\"<\/a>J.J. Abrams brought his vision of Gene Roddenberry\u2019s legacy to the big screen and it was a success. This new version became known as the Kelvin Timeline. This altered timeline changed the origin of Captain Kirk and with it, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. This time around Kirk is portrayed by Chris Pine and Spock by Zachary Quinto. Both actors were great choices to bring Star Trek to a new generation.<\/p>\n

Diamond Select Toys also carries on the tradition they began years ago when they started producing Star Trek Toys. The incredible figures that Diamond created were, in my opinion, amazing. Now Diamond has ventured into the Kelvin Timeline with their versions of Kirk and Spock with the likenesses of Pine and Quinto as they appeared in Star Trek: Into Darkness. These Select figures are outstanding and come with an arsenal of accessories for any landing party situation.<\/p>\n

Since he is the captain I will address the Kirk figure first. Dressed in his gold command shirt and captain\u2019s braids Captain Kirk comes with:<\/p>\n

The other figure in this release is everyone\u2019s favorite first officer, Mr. Spock. The Commander Spock figure stands approximately 7 inches tall and is dressed in his Science Division blue tunic. Spock, just like Kirk comes with an arsenal of weapons:<\/p>\n
