From Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Toho Co. Dougherty directed from a script he wrote with Zach Shields, story by Max Borenstein, Dougherty and Shields, based on the characters \u201cGodzilla,\u201d \u201cKing Ghidorah,\u201d \u201cMothra\u201d and \u201cRodan\u201d owned and created by Toho Co., Ltd. The film was produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Brian Rogers, with Shields, Barry Waldman, Hiro Matsuoka, Keiji Ota, Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira serving as executive producers, and Ali Mendes and Jay Ashenfelter co-producing for Legendary.<\/p>\n

Behind the scenes, Dougherty\u2019s creative team included director of photography Lawrence Sher (the \u201cHangover\u201d films, \u201cGodzilla\u201d), production designer Scott Chambliss (\u201cGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,\u201d \u201cStar Trek Into Darkness\u201d), editors Roger Barton (\u201cPirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,\u201d the \u201cTransformers\u201d films), Oscar nominee Richard Pearson (\u201cUnited 93,\u201d \u201cKong: Skull Island\u201d) and Bob Ducsay (\u201cGodzilla,\u201d \u201cStar Wars: Episode VIII \u2013 The Last Jedi\u201d), costume designer Louise Mingenbach (the \u201cX-Men\u201d films, the \u201cHangover\u201d films) and Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Guillaume Rocheron (\u201cLife of Pi,\u201d \u201cGodzilla\u201d). Music is by Bear McCreary (TV\u2019s \u201cThe Walking Dead,\u201d \u201c10 Cloverfield Lane\u201d).<\/p>\n

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc of \u201cGodzilla: King of the Monsters\u201d will feature Dolby VisionTM HDR, which dramatically expands the color palette and contrast range, and uses dynamic metadata to automatically optimize the picture for every screen, frame by frame. It will also feature HDR10+TM, a new HDR technology that optimizes brightness levels and contrast for each scene.<\/p>\n

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc of \u201cGodzilla: King of the Monsters\u201d will also feature a Dolby Atmos\u00ae soundtrack remixed specifically for the home theater environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead. To experience Dolby Atmos at home, a Dolby Atmos enabled AV receiver and additional speakers are required, or a Dolby Atmos enabled sound bar. Dolby Atmos soundtracks are also fully backward compatible with traditional audio configurations and legacy home entertainment equipment.<\/p>\n

\u201cGodzilla: King of the Monsters\u201d will also be available on Movies Anywhere. Using the free Movies Anywhere app and website, consumers can access all their eligible movies by connecting their Movies Anywhere account with their participating digital retailer accounts.<\/p>\n

SYNOPSIS<\/p>\n

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species\u2014thought to be mere myths\u2014rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity\u2019s very existence hanging in the balance.<\/p>\n
