Unmask the truth behind Gotham City\u2019s \"\"<\/a>vigilante detective and his alter ego, reclusive billionaire Bruce Wayne, when \u201cThe Batman\u201d arrives for Premium Digital Ownership at home on April 18. The film is directed by Matt Reeves from a screenplay by Reeves and Peter Craig, based on characters created by DC, and stars Robert Pattinson (\u201cTenet,\u201d \u201cThe Lighthouse\u201d). The film will also be available to stream on HBO Max on April 18 and will be available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD beginning on May 24.<\/p>\n

The film also stars Zo\u00eb Kravitz (TV\u2019s \u201cBig Little Lies,\u201d \u201cFantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald\u201d), Paul Dano (\u201cLove & Mercy,\u201d \u201c12 Years a Slave\u201d), Jeffrey Wright (\u201cNo Time to Die,\u201d TV\u2019s \u201cWestworld\u201d), John Turturro (the \u201cTransformers\u201d films, \u201cThe Plot Against America\u201d); Peter Sarsgaard (\u201cThe Magnificent Seven,\u201d \u201cInterrogation\u201d), Jayme Lawson (\u201cFarewell Amor\u201d), Andy Serkis (the \u201cPlanet of the Apes\u201d films, \u201cBlack Panther\u201d) and Colin Farrell (\u201cThe Gentlemen,\u201d \u201cFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them\u201d). The film was produced by Dylan Clark and Reeves, with Michael E. Uslan, Walter Hamada, Chantal Nong Vo and Simon Emanuel executive producing.<\/p>\n

SYNOPSIS<\/p>\n

More than a year of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies\u2014Alfred (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright)\u2014amongst the city\u2019s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.<\/p>\n

When a killer targets Gotham\u2019s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World\u2019s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle (Zo\u00eb Kravitz), Oz, aka The Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton\/aka The Riddler (Paul Dano).
