Lakeshore Records is set to release \"\"<\/a>Law & Order: Organized Crime–Original Series Soundtrack S. 2 digitally today featuring music by UK-based composer Ruth Barrett (Bloodlands, Wallander). For the first time ever, a \u201cLaw & Order\u201d franchise  offered fans a complete soundtrack, full of dramatic, suspenseful, and emotional compositions that are already recognizable to its vast viewing audience with the Season 1 release and the follow up continues with a whole new set of thrilling tracks. The hit series, now in its third season, is from Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, starring Christopher Meloni, Danielle Mone Truitt and Ainsley Seiger.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Barrett notes: \u201cThe season 2 music is an expansion of the OC soundworld with more mayhem and grit. Season 2 kicks off with Vinnie Jones starring as an Albanian gangster, so the music had to be considerably more intense. The Albanian themes reference traditional folk music and polyphonic chants mixed up with gritty synths and percussion. We journey through the McClane hacker storyline with synth driven tech sounds and baroque strings and into the Brotherhood zone which is more of a scratchy messed up blues. The soundtrack ends with the combat cross theme, a development of Stabler\u2019s theme exploring his feelings of guilt and regret about his father.\u201d<\/p>\n

    ABOUT RUTH BARRETT<\/p>\n

    Emmy-nominee Ruth Barrett is one of the UK\u2019s most sought-after film and television composers. Her music is unmistakably original and eclectic, spanning feature films and high-end TV drama.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Ruth\u2019s most recent work includes \"\"<\/a>scoring the hit Amazon series The Terminal List directed by Antoine Fuqua, starring Chris Pratt, Taylor Kitsch, and Constance Wu, as well as both series of NBC\u2019s Law& Order: Organized Crime.<\/p>\n

    Her film credits include City of Tiny Lights and Legacy, both directed by Pete Travis (Dredd), Harry Brown (co-written with Martin Phipps), starring Michael Caine, Toast, directed by S.J Clarkson, and the gritty Paul Abbott penned feature Twenty8k.<\/p>\n

    Further television work comprises the Pete Travis directed series Bloodlands, The Sister for ITV, Sanditon\u2013based on Jane Austen\u2019s unfinished novel, Bodyguard\u2013Jed Mercurio\u2019s hit series for BBC, ITV\/ Mammoth Screen\u2019s Victoria and four series of The Durrells. Other projects include David Hare\u2019s Collateral (BBC) starring Carey Mulligan, Critical (Sky), Love Nina (BBC) starring Helen Bonham Carter, Wuthering Heights (ITV\/PBS) starring Tom Hardy, Wallander (BBC) and Whitechapel (ITV).<\/p>\n

    Ruth studied composition at The Royal Academy of Music and read music at Cambridge University. She started her career composing for theatre and commercials before setting up a music production company, Rubykon, with composer and engineer Ruskin Williamson. Between them, they have worked on numerous documentaries, ad campaigns and short films.<\/p>\n
