The 2xLP vinyl and 2xCD formats will be available for pre-order next week from our partners at Mutant. Both versions feature exclusive liner notes by composer Hans Zimmer and filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, and both feature exclusive artwork by Greg Ruth.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Released in conjunction with Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures\u2019 \u201cDune: Part Two,\u201d the film, from Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Denis Villeneuve (\u201cDune,\u201d \u201cArrival,\u201d \u201cBlade Runner 2049\u201d), explores the next chapter of Frank Herbert\u2019s celebrated novel Dune and features an expanded, all-star, international ensemble cast. The film is slated for a March 1, 2024 release in theaters and IMAX nationwide and internationally beginning on 28 February 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hans Zimmer&#8217;s Dune: Part Two soundtrack is the follow up to his widely acclaimed score album and two accompanying releases from 2021&#8217;s Dune, which earned Zimmer an Academy Award. Zimmer approached the score as a continuation from the first film and says, \u201cI never left the world of \u2018Dune.\u2019&nbsp; In fact, I think Denis thought I was quite mad, because I kept writing after we finished the first movie.&nbsp; But because I knew the story, I knew the book, I knew what was coming our way.&nbsp;&nbsp; And in fact, a lot of the main themes in this second movie were written at the end of the first film, before Denis started shooting.&nbsp; It felt important to carry on writing when we were still in the same spirit, the same frame of mind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Villeneuve tasked Zimmer with composing a key piece of music for the new film, creating a soundtrack for the romance between Paul (Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya).
