Hollywood Records has released Alien: \"\"<\/a>Romulus (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) by BAFTA\u00ae and Grammy\u00ae-nominated composer Benjamin Wallfisch, available today, August 16, on digital platforms, coinciding with the film\u2019s premiere. The soundtrack is also available to pre-order now on vinyl, courtesy of Mutant and will include 6 bonus tracks.<\/p>\n

Wallfisch reflects on the score, \u201cIt was an honor to work with Fede \u00c1lvarez and my love for the original films made it a joy to contribute to this iconic franchise. By immersing myself in the musical legacy of Horner and Goldsmith, the aim was to embody the tone of what came before while creating fresh elements through a fusion of electronics and traditional orchestral textures. The score is a reflection of the film’s complex characters and the eerie, tension-filled atmosphere of deep space, blending new techniques with the timeless sound of the Alien universe.\u201d<\/p>\n

In this episode, composer Benjamin Wallfisch delves into his exhilarating score for Alien: Romulus. He shares insights on crafting themes that interweave human and alien elements, using silence as a powerful tool, and experimenting with choir and complex sound design. ABOUT ALIEN: ROMULUS<\/p>\n

The sci-fi\/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful \u201cAlien\u201d franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. The film stars Cailee Spaeny (\u201cPriscilla\u201d), David Jonsson (\u201cAgatha Christie\u2019s Murder is Easy\u201d), Archie Renaux (\u201cShadow and Bone\u201d), Isabela Merced (\u201cThe Last of Us\u201d), Spike Fearn (\u201cAftersun\u201d), Aileen Wu.
