Lakeshore Records is set to release \"\"<\/a>Star Trek: Section 31\u2014Original Movie Soundtrack<\/em> featuring original music by Emmy Award-winning composer Jeff Russo (Fargo, Ripley<\/em>)<\/em>, and is available digitally today, February 14. At times intensely propulsive and at others atmospheric and beat-driven, Russo\u2019s score vividly enhances the film. Produced by CBS Studios, the original movie stars Oscar Winner Michelle Yeoh and is streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and international markets where the service is available.

\nIn the movie, Yeoh reprises her fan-favorite role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou \u2013 a character she played in STAR TREK: DISCOVERY<\/em> \u2013 who joins a secret division of Starfleet. Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past. <\/p>\n

\nIn addition to composing music for film and television, Russo is a founding member, lead guitarist and co-songwriter of two-time Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling rock band,Tonic. Their debut album, Lemon Parade<\/strong>, posted three singles in the U.S. Mainstream rock charts’ Top 10 with “If You Could Only See” rocketing to number one. In 2003, the band received two Grammy nominations, one for \u201cBest Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal\u201d for “Take Me As I Am”, and one for \u201cBest Rock Album.\u201d Russo also received a BAFTA nomination for Best Music for Annapurna Interactive’s video game, What Remains of Edith Finch<\/strong>.
