Lakeshore Records is set to release \"\"<\/a>The Last Rodeo\u2014Original Motion Picture Soundtrack <\/em>digitally today, May 23 featuring music by Emmy Award-winning composer Jeff Russo (Fargo, Ripley<\/em>). Russo creates a gorgeous and gritty backdrop to the emotional interactions between a father and daughter and the intensity of the bull riding world. The Last Rodeo<\/em>, directed by Jon Avnet and starring Neal McDonough, is in theaters beginning today.

\nThe Last Rodeo<\/em> shares the story of Joe Wainwright (Neal McDonough), an aging retired champion bull rider, and his daughter Sally (Sarah Jones) who face a crisis that can only be solved by Joe entering and winning a bull riding competition. Joe must connect with a bull fighter and his estranged best friend of many years, Charlie Williams (Mykelti Williamson) to enter the legends contest as the oldest contestant in history.  Despite strained relations with his strong-willed daughter, he must confront his demons and consider the greatest sacrifice for his family.  <\/p>\n

In 2003, the band received two Grammy nominations, one for \u201cBest Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal\u201d for “Take Me As I Am”, and one for \u201cBest Rock Album.\u201d Russo also received a BAFTA nomination for Best Music for Annapurna Interactive’s video game, What Remains of Edith Finch.
