Lakeshore Records is set to release \"\"<\/a>NBC\u2019s Grosse Pointe Garden Society: Season One\u2014Original Series Soundtrack <\/em>digitally today, May 30 featuring music by Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation<\/em>), and Sofia degli Alessandri (Red, White & Royal Blue<\/em>). AKA Drum and Lace, the duo utilize synth, strings and tympani to evoke shifting moods and tension within the series\u2019 murder mystery. The full season of Grosse Pointe Garden Society<\/em> is currently streaming on Peacock.<\/p>\n

 Grosse Pointe Garden Society<\/em> follows four members of a suburban garden club who find their lives intertwined by scandal, mischief and a shared secret \u2013 a murder no one wants to talk about. As dark truths begin to rot their lives under the surface, they struggle to remain as perfect as the flowers blooming in their garden above.  The series is co-created by Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs who serve as executive producers alongside Casey Kyber for Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

ABOUT IAN HULTQUIST<\/u><\/strong>
\nIan Hultquist is an American composer & producer currently based in London, United Kingdom. Over the
\npast few years he has made a name for himself composing the scores for numerous films, documentaries and TV shows. Ian started his career in music as a founding member of the band Passion Pit, which started in Boston, MA where he was studying Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. He spent many years touring around the world & honing in his production skills as a Music Director, and working on remixes for artists such as Portugal the Man, Imagine Dragons, & Tegan & Sara.
\n 
\nIn 2014 he, along with his wife & fellow composer Sofia degli Alessandri-Hultquist (aka Drum & Lace),
\nrelocated to Los Angeles in order to fully dedicate himself to working in music for film. Since then, he has created music on a global scale composing on over 50 film titles, and over 20 television shows. He has written scores for some of the most renowned filmmakers working in the medium today, such as Sam Levinson (Assassination Nation), Erin Lee Carr (How to Fix a Drug Scandal, At the Heart of Gold), Alena Smith (Dickinson) & Karen Maine (Yes God Yes, Rosaline). In 2016 Ian formed Little Twig Records, an imprint label focused on releasing soundtracks for Film & TV, and in 2020, Ian was the sole-composer
\nnamed on the 40 Under 40 list for Doc NYC.

\nHe is currently composing the score The Walking Dead: Dead City (AMC, AMC+).

\nABOUT SOFIA degli ALESSANDRI<\/u><\/strong>
\nSofia degli Alessandri-Hultquist, AKA Drum & Lace, is a Florence-raised, London-based musician. A
\ncomposer for film with degrees from the prestigious Berklee College of Music and New York University,
\nher accolades include work with 20th Century Studios (\u2018Rosaline\u2019), Lionsgate (2023\u2019s \u2018Cobweb\u2019), NBC
\n(\u2018Good Girls\u2019), AppleTV+ (\u2018Dickinson\u2019) and Amazon Studios (2023 hit \u2018Red, White & Royal Blue\u2019). At the
\nsame time she’s been releasing music outside her scoring work, using her extensive synth collection to
\nfind her voice as an electronic producer whose music recalls the likes of Kelly Lee Owens.
\n 
\nDrum & Lace music takes inspiration from the natural world and is scattered with field recordings, so while the work is largely electronic there is a grounding and organic nature to every track. 2022’s debut album Natura found inspiration in the soil and in rolling hills, while 2023’s Frost EP captured the quiet beauty of winter. Her second LP ONDA, out now via Fabrique Records, is her most dance floor-leaning record to date. It’s inspired by the ocean, with motifs of shells, sand and sisterhood present throughout.

\nSofia has shared the stage with artists as disparate, and luminary, as William Basinski, Suzanne Ciani,
\nShirley Manson of Garbage, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, black midi, Sq\u00fcrl and Hans-Joachim Roedelius, while
\nthe stages she’s performed on include revered London venues like Caf\u00e9 OTO and EartH, Moogfest,
\nPublic Records NY, Slingshot Festival and National Sawdust’s Digital Discovery Festival in the US and
\nFesta Dell\u2019Opera in Italy.

\nSuch variety is proof that Drum & Lace is confidently dipping her toes in electronic music’s different pools. From an intimate and immersive ambient performance to a summer festival stage, Drum & Lace taps into both with ease.
