Taking place one year after the events of season one, GREMLINS: THE WILD BATCH follows Gizmo, Sam, and Elle as they travel from their home in Shanghai to San Francisco, bringing even more magic, mystery and Mogwai mayhem. Hot on the trail of a new brood of evil Mogwai, our heroes journey deep into the American West, coming up against new supernatural creatures and picking up a few mysterious characters along the way.<\/p>\n

Notes Chung: \u201cGrowing up on Amblin films and the scores of Jerry Goldsmith, Alan Silvestri, Danny Elfman and John Williams, I dreamed of storytelling through music in the elevated way these masters did. So, I was ecstatic to join the animated Gremlins world, though also pretty intimidated. But working with Amblin, show creator Tze Chun and showrunner Brendan Hay quickly became an inspiring collaboration, as their vision and direction to dive into the heart of these characters and their epic adventures allowed me to artistically explore and experiment in incredibly fun ways.<\/p>\n

Composing for this iconic franchise has been a career highlight and a truly fulfilling experience far greater than my kid self could have ever imagined!\u201d<\/p>\n

    ABOUT SHERRI CHUNG<\/p>\n

    Two-time Emmy\u00ae nominated composer Sherri Chung has been recognized internationally as a trailblazer in the world of film and television scoring.  Her music transcends genre and fuses inspirations\u2014both traditional and emerging\u2014in support of filmmakers\u2019 visions worldwide.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Sherri recently composed the score for HBO Max\/Amblin\u2019s animated series Gremlins: The Wild Batch. Previously, she scored Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai (Season1), for which she was nominated for an Emmy\u00ae for Best Music Direction And Composition for An Animated Program.  Other recent credits include Netflix\u2019s live action feature film Happiness For Beginners, NBC\u2019s Found, and the Peacock original series Based on a True Story, which gave Sherri her second Emmy\u00ae nomination for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score). Frequently recognized for her other television credits, including CW network series\u2019 Kung Fu, Batwoman, and Riverdale, NBC\u2019s Blindspot, and Ava DuVernay\u2019s limited series The Red Line, Sherri has also scored numerous feature films, documentaries, and commercials. Recent film credits include Warner Bros Studio\u2019s Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase, Tyler Perry\u2019s Divorce In The Black, and The Lost Husband, the latter of which garnered her a Society of Composers and Lyricists nomination for Best Score for an Independent Studio Film. She also composed the score for The Other Side of Home, which was shortlisted in the 2017 Oscars for Best Short Documentary. Upcoming work includes Eli Roth\u2019s documentary series, Let The Devil In, slated to premiere this Fall. Her outstanding work has not gone unnoticed, as Sherri was a 2024 nominee for the IFMCA Breakthrough Composer of the Year.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Alongside her composing work, Sherri is also a pianist, vocalist, performer and songwriter. As a vocalist, she has recorded for films (Sony Pictures\u2019 \u201c65\u201d and the recent A24 film \u201cHeretic\u201d), commercials, trailer music, and television (ABC\u2019s Resurrection, CW\u2019s Arrow and NBC\u2019s Blindspot).  Her voice can also be heard on the Netflix documentary series The Keepers (Emmy nominated for Outstanding Documentary). An active member of the film music industry, Sherri also serves as Governor of the Music Branch of the Television Academy.<\/p>\n
