Each episode is made up of short gags and sketches, perfect for today’s short attention-span viewers. While the stop-motion is cutting edge (it won the 2010 Emmy for Outstanding Short Format Animated Program) and the writing is superb, the show’s humor is filthy, obvious, and immature, so you can’t help but love it! Many of the sketches on Robot Chicken are spoofs of all the movies, cartoons, games, etc. that we all grew up on. Past RC specials have included three Star Wars episodes and a Christmas Special. What more would you expect from show creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich?

And this DC Comics Special is pulling out all the stops. Show creators are working close with DC and Warner Bros. animation for production, particularly with Geoff Johns and Sam Register. The special will include classic voice-over work from Green (Batman, Robin, and Aquaman) and Breckin Meyer (Superman), and will also be bringing in top actors Neil Patrick Harris (Two-Face), Megan Fox (Lois Lane), Alfred Molina (Lex Luthor) and Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern), just to name a few. Fans will also get to see their favorite Robot Chicken characters Humping Robot, Composite Santa, Mad Scientist, and the Robot Chicken Nerd.

Check local listings for show times, and drop by adultswim.com and dccomics.com for more information.

-Ted Woods

We here at Geekstronomy would like to welcome our newest contributor, Ted Woods.
