The track is a cover of the classic song made famous by British rock supergroup, Cream, and is performed by “Alien: Earth” series creator Noah Hawley and series composer, Jeff Russo.

Russo shares, “It’s always so great to get into the studio with Noah to make music. Making ‘Strange Brew’ was a blast, and it gave us the opportunity to make a full version of our titles for the show.”

Noah Hawley, “Alien: Earth” series / executive producer / writer / director: “Kubrick has a famous quote where he says, ‘the truth of a thing is in the feel of it, not the think of it.’ Jeff and I started recording cover songs together back in ‘Fargo’ Season 2 to try to capture a feeling the shows needed. In ‘Legion’ we wanted the needle drops to feel like score, so we doubled down on the number of songs we recorded. We did it ourselves because it was the clearest and most effective way to capture that feeling in our heads. I had the song ‘Strange Brew’ in my head all through ‘Alien: Earth’ prep and filming. Who can say why? Logic says it’s the lyric ‘strange brew, kill what’s inside of you’ that feels like it literally applies to the monster, but so much of the story of the Alien franchise is also about the evil that lives in the hearts of men. The song was written about a woman, and there is a seductiveness to the feel where it seems like the think of it is saying ‘there’s something wrong with you,’ but the feel of it is saying ‘come closer.’”

ABOUT FX’s “ALIEN: EARTH”

When the mysterious deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, “Wendy” (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s “Alien: Earth.”

In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold.
