One Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest, \"\"<\/a>the critically-acclaimed 1975 film from filmmaker Milo\u0161 Forman and starring Jack Nicholson in his first Academy Award-winning role, will be available for purchase Digitally in 4K Ultra HD and on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc on November 11, timed to the 50th anniversary of the film\u2019s release on November 19, 1975.<\/p>\n

Based on the 1962 novel of the same name by author Ken Kesey, the film is considered by critics and audience to be one of the greatest films ever made.  One Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest won all five major Academy Awards (Best Picture \u2013 Michael Douglas and Saul Zaentz; Best Actor \u2013 Jack Nicholson; Best Actress \u2013 Louise Fletcher; Director \u2013 Milo\u0161 Forman; and Screenplay \u2013 Lawrence Hauben and Bo Goldman) and in 1993, the film was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” by the United States Library of Congress, and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.<\/p>\n

The film features an all-star cast including Jack Nicholson, Louise Flether, Will Sampson, Danny DeVito, William Redfield, Brad Dourif and Christopher Lloyd, with the latter two making their feature film debuts.<\/p>\n
