Lakeshore Records and Invada \"\"<\/a>Records are set to release Crime 101\u2014Original Motion Picture Soundtrack <\/em>digitally today, February 20, featuring music by experimental electronic musician, producer and composer Blanck Mass AKA Benjamin John Power (She Rides Shotgun<\/em>). <\/em>Thunderous synth soundscapes are paired with nuanced character-driven themes creating a multi-faceted backdrop to the intense thriller. The Amazon MGM Studios film directed by Bart Layton and starring Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennfier Jason Leigh and Nick Nolte is in theaters now.  The album is available digitally in the Americas on Lakeshore Records and the rest of the world via Invada Records.<\/p>\n

\nSet against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles, Crime 101 weaves the tale of an elusive jewel thief (Chris Hemsworth) whose string of heists along the 101 freeway have mystified police. When he eyes the score of a lifetime, his path crosses that of a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry) who is facing her own crossroads. Convinced he has found a pattern, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) is closing in, raising the stakes even higher. As the heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are faced with life-defining choices\u2013and the realization that there can be no turning back.

\nNotes Power: \u201cCrime 101<\/em> was an incredible movie to have the opportunity to score. At the centre of the story is, of course, the heist. However, it very quickly became apparent to me that this was not just any heist movie, but more a Noir which happens to have a heist in it. The central characters and how their lives become intertwined was more important than the action, in a way. This is high-octane in parts, of course, but what really drew me to this movie was the character development. Lou, Davis and Sharon are the beating heart. I wanted to ‘be with them sonically\u2019 throughout. Both the tender and the furious needed to be sympathetic with one another.\u201d
