This past weekend, Geekstronomy ventured \"\"<\/a>into the bourbon belt, invading Kentucky. Domtober (AKA Old Man Fett) attended the Lexington Comic Con and Toy Convention. This is the first time our team hit a con in Kentucky and it seems like it was a great time for all involved. This is also the first time I wasn\u2019t around to play the lead so Dom oversaw coverage and photos and he did an outstanding job. Here is his review of the show.<\/p>\n

I wanted to share a quick note about my experience at the Lexington Comic-Con and Toy Convention.<\/p>\n

It was honestly one of the most pleasant conventions I\u2019ve attended. The energy felt different in a good way\u2014there was a strong sense of creativity and enthusiasm throughout the space. I especially loved that many of the vendors were in cosplay themselves, which added to the overall atmosphere.<\/p>\n

What stood out most was the originality. We came across things we hadn\u2019t seen before, like unique wire art and merchandise that felt genuinely different from what you typically find at larger cons. There was also a great mix of vintage items\u2014Voltron, G.I. Joe, and Elf pieces\u2014that made exploring the vendor floor really engaging.<\/p>\n

Beyond the items themselves, many of the vendors had great stories behind their work or collections. Taking the time to talk with them made the experience feel more personal and memorable.<\/p>\n
