Goldwater, and fleshed out by the supremely-talented Montana, Archie and his friends \u2013 Jughead, Betty and Veronica, and Reggie remain pop culture icons to this day.<\/p>\n<p>In these rarely seen Sunday newspaper comics from the late 1940s and early 1950s\u2014including the very first Archie strips\u2014Montana draws on the facts, fantasy, feelings, and fun of his own high school days in Haverhill, Massachusetts to build upon the legendary characters created by Goldwater.<\/p>\n<p>This Sundays-only collection continues the Eisner Award-winning series from IDW&#8217;s Library of American Comics in an oversized 10&#8243; x 13&#8243; format.
