Hollywood Records and 20th Century \"\"<\/a>Studios announce the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2 (Original Score Soundtrack). Returning to the franchise is 2x Emmy\u00ae-winning composer Theodore Shapiro, who has crafted a sophisticated new score that honors the legacy of the original film while evolving its signature sound.<\/p>\n

Shapiro shares, \u201cIt was amazing to return to the world of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA twenty years later, and revisit both the characters and the musical themes from the original film.  The score to THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 updates the language of the electronic production in the music, while maintaining a sense of timeless elegance.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Almost twenty years after making their iconic turns as Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel\u2014Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine in the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation.<\/p>\n

The film reunites the original main cast with director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, and introduces an all-new runway of characters including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as \u201cLily\u201d and \u201cIrv\u201d from the first film.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2\u201d is produced by Wendy Finerman, and executive produced by Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt and McKenna. Tickets are now on sale through Fandango or wherever tickets are sold. The film debuts exclusively in theaters May 1.<\/p>\n

    Theodore Shapiro is an 2x Emmy\u00ae Award-winning composer with a prolific filmography spanning many of the most culturally defining films of the past 25 years.<\/p>\n

    Most recently, Shapiro returned to score THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2, releasing this May.<\/p>\n

    This follows his Emmy-winning work on the second season of Apple TV+\u2019s critically acclaimed SEVERANCE, which premiered in January 2025. His haunting, atmospheric score has garnered wide praise for elevating the show\u2019s unsettling tone, with critics dubbing it \u201ciconic\u201d (VULTURE), \u201cperfect\u201d (DECIDER) and \u201ceerily catchy\u201d (LOS ANGELES TIMES).<\/p>\n

    Outside of SEVERANCE, Shapiro\u2019s career has been defined chiefly by his versatility. He has built a reputation as a master of comedy scores, notably scoring iconic comedies like THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, 13 GOING ON 30 and DODGEBALL. Beyond that, however, his extensive body of work \u2013 contributing to over a billion dollars in cumulative box office revenue \u2013 spans a wide variety of films, with turns scoring the likes of THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE, BOMBSHELL and SEVERANCE helmer Ben Stiller\u2019s THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY.<\/p>\n
