Hollywood Records in conjunction with \"\"<\/a>National Geographic announce the release today of Pompeii: Out of Time With Tom Hiddleston\u2014Original Series Soundtrack featuring music by Dutch\/Irish composer Aisling Brouwer. Brouwer\u2019s distinctive modern classical stylings anchor the dramatic and emotive three-part historical event series with soaring orchestration, dark vocalizations and unique instrumentation such as the use of ancient horns. The series debuted on National Geographic July 22 and is streaming now on Disney+ and Hulu.<\/p>\n

Notes Brouwer: \u201cScoring Pompeii: Out of Time meant finding music for a moment we all think we already know and then discovering how much of it we didn’t. I wanted the score to hold space for both the seismic force and scale of Vesuvius, and the intimate, human choices of the people living through it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Pompeiian Cornu sits at the heart of that search – an instrument reborn from the very ash that destroyed it, preserved by the same disaster that once silenced it. Recorded at Real World Studios, its sound is woven through the score alongside haunting vocals and experimental orchestral layers, blurring the line between score and sound design to mirror the tremors and turmoil of a disaster on this magnitude.<\/p>\n

    Aisling Brouwer is a Dutch\/Irish composer, producer, and artist based in London, whose darkly emotive scores build cinematic worlds that feel at once intimate and immense.<\/p>\n

    Her latest score is for the upcoming Disney and National Geographic series Pompeii: Out of Time, which reunites Loki executive producer Kevin R. Wright with Tom Hiddleston. A hybrid of cinematic drama and investigative documentary, the series places audiences inside ancient Rome in the hours surrounding the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The original soundtrack will be released through Hollywood Records on July 24, 2026, with its world premiere performance at Soundtrack Cologne.<\/p>\n

    As one half of AVAWAVES – signed to One Little Independent Records, home to Bj\u00f6rk, \u00c1sgeir, and Laura Misch – Aisling co-scores the Apple TV+ series The Buccaneers, with two soundtrack albums on Interscope Records featuring their music alongside original songs by Sharon Van Etten, Gracie Abrams, Warpaint, Holly Humberstone, and Suki Waterhouse.<\/p>\n
