Many of you know Colin Ferguson as his television persona, Jack \"\"<\/a>Carter on Eureka. What you may not know is that Colin is heading to Haiti to assist in\u00a0building a children’s center.\u00a0Colin is dedicated to helping the people of Haiti who are still\u00a0recovering from the devastating earthquake that occurred two years ago. He is leaving next weekend and there is still time to donate to the cause.<\/p>\n

This is an excerpt from our interview where Colin talks about his upcoming trip:<\/p>\n

JH: Well now let\u2019s get away from television and talk about real life. You are going to Haiti.<\/p>\n

CF: Yeah, I\u2019m going to Haiti.<\/p>\n

\nJH: Tell us about that\u2026<\/p>\n

\nCF: With a group called, Hope to Haiti<\/a> and Random Acts<\/a>\u2026and my buddy Misha (Misha Collins<\/em>)\u00a0who plays a character on Supernatural<\/strong>. Going down to build a children\u2019s center and stucco the side of it. And maybe build a shelter as well. I\u2019m only there for a week, so I will do a week\u2019s worth of work. I\u2019m excited. I\u2019ve never been to Haiti and l love warm weather. Hopefully that will end well for me.<\/p>\n

\nJH: You\u2019re from Canada how can you love warm weather?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

CF: I live in California now. I love warm weather. It\u2019s nice to do something like that\u2026it gives you perspective on your own life. So when you gripe and bitch about things you realize you could have it significantly worse\u2026in a very dire way. So I think it is important when things go really well to do things like that.<\/p>\n
