With wildly successful films like \u201cSherlock Holmes\u201d and \u201cIron Man,\u201d Downey has captivated fans and critics alike with his daring and iconic interpretations of some of cinema\u2019s most beloved characters.<\/p>\n<p>Academy Award winner and star of \u201cNational Treasure,\u201d \u201cKick-Ass,\u201d and \u201cGhost Rider,\u201d Nicolas Cage will be on hand to reveal a exclusive new footage from \u201cGhost Rider Spirit of Vengeance\u201d and to accept the Maverick Award to recognize his fearless and intriguing body of work. Appearing in over 60 films, Cage has blazed his own path through Hollywood and created some of the most memorable, eccentric and indelible roles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe superstars and superheroes who are coming to SCREAM this year do it because they love and appreciate these fans for their unparalleled passion, \u201d said Casey Patterson, executive producer of \u201cSCREAM Awards 2011\u201d and executive vice president of event production for Viacom Media Networks Entertainment Group. \u201cWe have a lot of Scream-worthy surprises for the fans this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spike TV\u2019s \u201cSCREAM Awards 2011\u2033 will also feature world premiere footage from some of the biggest releases of the next 12 months. The show will include never-before-seen previews of \u201cTotal Recall,\u201d \u201cThe Woman In Black,\u201d \u201cParanormal Activity 3\u201d and \u201cSherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,\u201d with many more films to be announced shortly.<\/p>\n<p>Also set to attend are \u201cBlack Swan\u201d director Darren Aronofsky, \u201cLost\u201d creator J.J. Abrams, star of \u201cKick Ass\u201d and \u201cLet Me In\u201d Chloe Moretz, Kal Penn and John Cho of \u201cHarold and Kumar\u201d fame, \u201cTrue Blood\u201d star Joe Manganiello, \u201cAmerican Horror Story\u201d lead actor Dylan McDermott, \u201cDr. Who\u2019s\u201d Matt Smith, \u201cFringe\u201d star Anna Torv and \u201cDeath Valley\u201d cast members Bryce Johnson and Caity Lotz, with more talent to\u00a0be announced in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>The reboot of one hallowed franchise and the thrilling final chapter of another will battle itout for many of the night\u2019s top honors, as \u201cX-Men: First Class\u201d and \u201cHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows \u2013 Part 2\u201d both nabbed 14 nominations, among them \u201cThe Ultimate Scream,\u201d and \u201cBest Director.\u201d Two other Marvel Comics franchises joined \u201cX-Men: First Class\u201d to round out the top four, with \u201cCaptain America: The First Avenger\u201d and \u201cThor\u201d receiving 11 and nine nominations, respectively.
