In order to destroy the humans that didn\u2019t die in the initial attack Skynet created cyborgs called Terminators to hunt down and eradicate the remnants of the human race. \u00a0<!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">The humans rose up to fight against the machines and during that final battle, with defeat assured, Skynet attempted one final attack. Skynet sent a terminator back in time to kill the mother of the unborn rebel leader that would defeat them in the future. This terminator may have succeeded had the humans not captured the time displacement equipment and also sent a protector into the past. The human who was sent back in time had the task of protecting the baby\u2019s mother, Sarah Conner. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">The Terminator was a hit. That original Terminator movie spawned 4 sequels and a short lived television series. The Terminator has also had a life in comic books. Over the years 5 different publishing companies have held the license to produce a comic series. They were: Now Comics, Malibu, Beckett, Dynamite Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics.
