Equipment: Marvel Legends Daredevil Figure Review

The Marvel Legends Infinite Series from Hasbro is becoming oneDSCN1312 of my favorite lines. Recently, I had the chance to review the Hulk and Iron Man figures from the recent Avengers’ line and I loved them. I actually keep Iron Man next to the couch and I keep playing with him. Well now, in the new Spider-Man themed line, Hasbro has released a new Daredevil figure. Though not really one of my favorite characters I have found new respect for “the man without fear” since the Netflix series premiered. I liked the dimension that the show gave the character and so when I came across the figure I had to purchase one for myself.

This series of Marvel Legends includes parts to complete a large Hobgoblin figure. The figures in the line include:

  • Daredevil (with Hobgoblin left arm and pumpkin bomb)
  • Spider-Man 2099 (with Hobgoblin right arm and sword)
  • Anti-Venom (with Hobgoblin right leg)
  • Spider-Man (with Hobgoblin left leg)
  • Spider- Girl (with Hobgoblin head and wings)
  • Spider- Woman (with Hobgoblin torso)

Fans of Spider-Man will love this assortment. I don’t know how hard it is to find the chase figures but I found the entire series my local supercenter. Though I am a fan of Spider-Man all I wanted from this assortment was the Daredevil, so that is all I picked up. I must admit I was not disappointed.

The first thing I noticed about Daredevil was all of the points of articulation. I was shocked by just how much you can pose him. After how poseable the Iron Man was I didn’t think it could get any better but it did. Daredevil has approximately 25 points of articulation. The joints on the figure I picked up are tight, making posing him not an issue. This guy has no problem standing. Daredevil also comes with his fighting sticks which can be connected to make a staff.

As stated earlier I have never been a big fan of Daredevil but thanks to Netflix I have a new appreciation for him. Created in 1964 by Stan Lee and Bill Everett, Daredevil protects New York’s Hell’s Kitchen (an area that goes from 34th to 59th streets and 8th ave. to the Hudson River. Considering the size of Manhattan this is a small area). Daredevil’s secret identity is Matt Murdock, attorney at law. An accident when he was a child left Matt blind but with heightened senses and abilities. I am sure if you are reading this review you know this origin story already.

The Daredevil figure in the Marvel Legends Infinite Line is 6 inches tall and retails for 19.99. Now that the new Netfix series is breathing new life into the character this figure might become a tough find as time goes by, so get yours soon. I do like this figure and think that if you are one of those people that opens your toys and plays with them, you will like it as well. Buy one and for heaven’s sake, open it…you won’t be disappointed.
