Equipment: ThinkGeek at Toy Fair 2014

I love going to Toy Fair. There is so much to look at, so much to play with andIMG_5966 so very much to add to my Yule list. I really enjoyed my stop at the booth for ThinkGeek.  I think I was smiling the entire time I looked around the booth. If you aren’t familiar with ThinkGeek, you should be. ThinkGeek offers an incredible array of geeky themed products that are must-haves whether you are a neurobiologist or just a big nerd.

As a geek I wear my geekiness on my sleeve but Think Geek has some geek wearables that anyone would be proud to wear. First off there is a hoodie that has an attachment for laser tag. The Electronic FPS Laser Battle Jacket is a must for the geek on the go.  This jacket is perfect for everyday and even though it has a futuristic look to, it doesn’t scream nerd. Not that there is anything wrong with letting your geek flag fly.

Speaking of letting your geek flag fly one of the other really cool items was the spell caster jacket. Called the Technomancer Digital Wizard Hoodie it will make you the envy of every wizard out there.  Every time you cast a “spell” the sleeves of the jacket light up with the corresponding colors of the spell. This is perfect for the Harry Potter fan or for me the next time I have a wizard battle with Jesse Rath (one of the stars of Defiance).

Also available are “radioactive” drink coasters. The Radioactive Elements Glowing Coaster set is perfect for your next party. This set of coasters is comprised of 4 coasters that depict radioactive elements and light up when a drink is placed on them. The elements are Uranium-238 (Green), Radium-226 (Red), Thorium-232 (Orange) and Plutonium-244 (Blue). You will never lose your drink in the dark with these babies. They come packaged in a box marked “radioactive.” I dare you to bring these on your next flight. (just kidding as I will not be responsible for you pissing off TSA agents!)

These are just a fraction of what ThinkGeek has to offer and just a smattering of what I saw at Toy Fair. Check out the pictures and keep an eye out for reviews of some of these great products.
