Jerseylicious is a reality show that follows salon workers at the Gatsby in Greenbrook,
New Jersey. The Style Network is currently showing the third season. The show is full of drama, betrayal and friendship. It is a cat fight waiting to happen. Let me introduce you to the main characters.
Gayle Giacomo is the owner of the Gatsby Salon. She has a tendency to try to act younger than she is. She is constantly looking out for the best interest of the Gatsby and will step on others to make sure that what she wants happens.
Christy Pereira is the manager of the Gatsby and is Gayle’s daughter. She recently has a baby and is trying to mix work and being a mother. This season she has finally started standing up to her mother and letting her know when she is wrong. Christy has had hormonal issues with the birth of her child which was evident in her explosive episodes with Alex, the Glam Fairy.
Olive Blois Sharpe works at part time at the Gatsby and at Anthony Roberts salon. She also worked with the Glam Fairy for a short time. She is a makeup artist with a definite style. She wears outlandish outfits with animal prints. She actually does a segment on her different rings and how they need to be separated because one of the animals would hurt the other. She despises Tracy and this season she actually kicked Tracy in the head at a nightclub. Tracy’s ex boyfriend, Mikey, is now her boyfriend.
Tracy DiMarco Maloney is a hair stylist at The Gatsby. Her motto is “The higher your hair, the closer you are to heaven.” Tracy is fond of the dreaded 80’s teased hair. She has long nails that stop her from doing a lot of things but she is very proud of those nails. She will 
walk over anyone to get to where she wants to be. She has been fired from the Gatsby once but was asked to come back. She worked with the Glam Fairy behind Gayle’s back for some time. She was not achieving what she wanted so she left. She despises Olivia and last season attacked her in the Sonic parking lot.
Gigi Liscio is a doll. She is a hairstylist at the Gatsby and is by far the nicest person on the show. All seasons have shown her relationship with her now ex-boyfriend, Frankie. Even on Facebook, fans are pleading with her to take Frankie back. Their story tugs at your heart strings. She tries to be friends with all the girls, which can be difficult with the Olivia/Tracy drama.
Anthony Lombardi has his own salon, Anthony Roberts salon, and also works part time at the Gatsby. He gets along great with everyone and tries to help Olivia and Tracy with their fights. He has tried to expand his business with Gayle but she has been backing out of everything. Anthony is a family man who is always there for the other workers.
Alexa Prisco is the Glam Fairy. She used to be an employee at the Gatsby but had a huge blow out with Gayle. They are now enemies. Alexa has the Glam Factory in Hoboken and is currently filming her own show for this fall.
In the latest episode of Jerseylicious:
Gigi has the girls over to her apartment for some wine. Of course when Olivia and Doria walk in, Tracy says hi to Doria and ignores Olivia. They have a conversation about Gigi and Frankie’s “friendship”. The girls help Gigi with some advice on rules and boundaries for her new relationship.
Christy and Gayle talk about putting more effort into advertising their new service, Gatsby to Go. The joke is on Gayle when Christy has to explain to her what “snail mail” is.
Frankie and Lorenzo meet up at a sports bar for drinks and food. Lorenzo is not too happy to find out that Frankie has invited Gigi to hang out. Gigi orders a hamburger and a beer. She drinks the beer with a straw and hates it. This creates a lot of laughs as they wade into the waters of their new friendship.
Tracy is working as an apprentice at a magazine called Bergen’s Health and Life. She fights with the copy machine as she tries to do actual office work. She asks to go on a photo shoot to help out for experience. The problem is that the Gatsby to Go photo shoot for the new mailer is on the same day of the photo shoot. Olivia and Tracy get into a huge yelling match at Gayle’s house about Tracy shirking her responsibilities. It gets really irritating listening to Olivia and Tracy arguing about the smallest things because they despise each other.
Gigi and Frankie’s mom go to watch Frankie boxing. Gigi shows how much she still cares about Frankie and stays to support him. Frankie tells her that she can leave if it bothers her but she is glad that she chooses to stay. It is very obvious to the viewer that they are still in love with each other.
Briella goes with Tracy to the photo shoot. They completely fail at putting masking tape on the bottom of the shoes to protect them. Tracy saves the day when Briella is sent to find a jacket and cannot. Meanwhile, Olivia has Miguel and Krystle helping her prep Gayles living room for the Gatsby photo shoot. Tracy shows up right in time to finish up the models’ hair. The shoot turns out good even with the bickering between Tracy and Olivia.
Thankfully for the show, Gigi and Frankie are in the cast. Olivia and Tracy are very obnoxious with all of their arguments and immaturity. If Jerseylicious had only this two in it, more than likely the show would have no viewers left.
On the next episode, Gayle and Christy hire a new stylist that Gigi does not like and Olivia and Alexa work together on a tutorial. It should be a better episode since Tracy and Olivia will not be in any scenes together. If you want some drama, watch Jerseylicious. It will definitely quench your drama thirst!
