I am usually impressed by the figures put out by Diamond Select Toys. The level of detail that goes into each sculpt is incredible. These figures look so good they can be displayed as statues or played with for hours on end because of their poseability. For me it is all about playing with them; which I can easily justify and say, “This is work related.”
Speaking of impressive looking figures that can be played with for hours on end let’s talk about the Spider-Man figure from Spider-Man No Way Home. This figure is based on Spider-Man’s look after he turned his costume inside out because it was splattered with paint. The black and gold costume seems to be an homage to the time in the comics when Peter dons a costume created out of a black goo to replace the red and blue one which was mostly shredded in battle.
The Marvel Select Spider-man isn’t just cool to look at, he is fully poseable. The figure stands approximately 7 inches tall and has multiple points of articulation. They are:
- Head
- Shoulders
- Biceps
- Chest
- Elbows (Double)
- Wrists
- Waist
- Hips
- Thighs
- Knees (Double)
- Ankles
- Feet
Spider-Man comes with 3 additional sets of hands that can be swapped out depending on how you want him to look. Also included with the Spider-Man figure are two web lines that are approximately 12 inches long which he can held on to for more posing options.
I am glad that this Spider-Man figure is so poseable. I don’t think the folks over there at Diamond Select would skimp on moveable joints since Spidey needs to be able to pose. Bottom line, I think this is a great figure. I can’t wait to see what poses I can get Spider-Man into when I taking pics for our Instagram page.
The Marvel Select Spider-Man from Diamond Select Toys retails for $29.99 and is recommended for children (or collectors) over the age of 3.
Once again, a shout out to our friends over at Diamond Select Toys thanks for sending Spider-Man figure for review.
