Motor City Comic Con, Michigan’s longest 
and largest comic and pop-culture event since 1989, will be hosting a variety of attractions, events, exhibits and guests during this year’s convention, May 13-15, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, MI. This year’s lineup will also feature actors from television, movies, and the streaming industry, along with the most creative artists, writers, and comic book creators in the industry.
Throughout the weekend celebrity and comic guests participate in autographs and photo opportunities with attendees, for additional fees, which can be purchased on the website. This year’s con will be bigger than ever! Some 2022 highlights include:
The Christopher Reeve Legacy Reunion – 3-day celebration with stars from ALL 4 SUPERMAN movies!
A reunion this large, is the first of its kind and will feature stars from all 4 Superman films along with writer and artist from the Superman ’78 DC Comic Series. 35 years after his final flight in Superman IV, the love and admiration for Christopher Reeve both on screen and in life is stronger and more inspiring than ever. In addition, an exclusive limited edition variant cover of Superman ’78 will be available only at the Motor City Comic Con, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. This has been in inspiration to create this legacy reunion for Motor City Comic Con and The Caped Wonder Superman Podcast, which is hosted by Detroit TV/Radio host, Jay Towers and CapedWonder.com Superman Imagery Founder, Jim Bowers.
The Christopher Reeve Legacy Reunion will feature the following stars from the Superman films, Aaron Smolinski, Marc McClure, Sarah Douglas, Jack O’Halloran, Mark Pillow, Mariel Hemingway, and Damian McLawhorn, Also appearing at the legacy reunion, from the Superman 78’ DC Comic Series, writer Robert Venditti and artist Wilfredo Torres.
Limited Edition Variant Cover of SUPERMAN ’78 #1
Another first of its kind at this 2022 event, will be a Motor City Comic Con Exclusive Limited Edition “Variant Cover” of SUPERMAN ’78 #1. This comic book will feature a unique cover that is an exclusive to this edition, and only available at Motor City Comic Con. A portion of proceeds from the comic book will benefit The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research and improving the quality of life for individuals and families impacted by paralysis.

ETERNALS-Inspired Lexus

See the Eternals-Inspired Lexus on the Show Floor. This specially wrapped LC 500 is based on Angelina Jolie’s character, Thena. The wrap was inspired by Thena’s unique individual armor design, iconography, and superpower.
