E.V.A.: Stars from the Original Hocus Pocus Vinessa Shaw, Omri Katz & Jason Marsden Coming to Motor City Comic Con – This October!

Motor City Comic Con, Michigan’s largest and longest running comic book and pop cultural convention since 1989, is thrilled to announce that Hocus Pocus actors Vinessa Shaw, Omri Katz, and Jason Marsden Jim will be attending this fall’s convention running October 14-16, 2022 at the Suburban Collection Showplace. All three actors will be attending the convention and appearing for three days, Friday, October 14, Saturday, October 15, and Sunday, October 16.  They will be available for autographs ($50 each) and professional photo opportunities by Pose Photos ($70 each) with a Trio photo opportunity ($180). Shaw, Katz and Marsden   add to the recently announced guests, Jim Beaver, Arthur Darvill, Greg Cipes, Danny Lloyd, Alice Cooper, Anna Jay, James “Murr” Murray, Clive Standen, Laurie Holden, Jamie Farr, Loretta Swit and comic guest, Yanick Paquette. Vinessa Shaw:

Vinessa began her career as a child actor in her break-out role in Disney’s 1993 Hocus Pocus. Shaw also appeared in Ladybugs (1992) and L.A. Without A Map (1998). While attending Barnard College, Shaw was cast in a supporting role in Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut (1999), after which she decided to pursue acting into her adulthood. Subsequent roles include in the comedy 40 Days and 40 Nights (2002) and the 2006 remake of. Wes Craven’s horror film The Hills Have Eyes. She was a supporting cast member in the Showtime drama Ray Donovan and stars as Dr. Jane Mathis in the horror thriller Clinical.

 

Omri Katz:

Omri is best known for appearing on hit TV shows Dallas (1978) and Eerie, Indiana (1991). He has appeared in many movies, including Hocus Pocus, Matinee (1993) and Adventures in Dinosaur City (1991).

 

Jason Marsden:

You’ve seen him, you’ve heard him. Lending his voice to countless characters inanimation, feature films, video game, commercials, apps and more, Jason Marsden has been working full force in the entertainment biz since he was 12 years young. In the 90she was a familiar face on such shows as “Boy Meets World”, “Full House”, and “Step by Step”. In voice over, Jason can be heard most notably as Max, Goofy’s son in “A Goofy Movie”. Marsden provided the voice for Haku, the mysterious boy/dragon in Hayo Miyazaki’s, Academy Award Winning, “Spirited Away”. Every Halloween, we bet you’ve heard him as Thackery Binx in Disney’s “Hocus Pocus”. He’s voiced many popular characters including Chester in “Fairly Odd Parents”, Impulse/Kid Flash in “Young Justice”, reporter, Snapper Carr in “Justice League”, Duke in “GI JOE: Renegades”, Tino Tontini in Disney’s “The Weekenders”, as well as some well-known felines: Kovu in “Lion King 2”,and Nermal in “The Garfield Show”. Video Game fans will recognize Jason as the title role in the “Tak” franchise, Boone from “Fallout: New Vegas”, and Noel Kriess in “Final Fantasy 13.2”and many folk you’ve interacted within “SKYRIM”! Currently Marsden can be heard in, “Transformers: Rescue Bots”,“Disney’s Club Penguin”, the upcoming season of “DuckTales” and the much anticipated season three of “Young Justice – Outsiders

The Suburban Collection Showplace has over 371,000 square feet of exhibit floor creating room for con attendees’ favorite events, including Cosplay Contests, Panel Q&A Discussions, Guest Appearances, and a variety of Vendors. Wristbands

Motor City Comic Con has added an additional convenience feature for guests who want to avoid the long admission lines with their wristbands! Wristbands are available for purchase, in advance, online only and will be mailed to homes for an additional $15 fee. Fans who purchase these wristbands and have them mailed prior to the con will be able to bypass ticket lines, use any re-entry door and get a faster start to their day. The deadline for guests to add this shipping option is Friday, September 23 at 5:00pm est.
