Soundwaves: The Dragon Prince: Mystery of Aaravos, Seasons 4 & 5—A Netflix Series Soundtrack Music by Frederik Wiedmann

Lakeshore Records is set to digitally debut The Dragon Prince: Mystery of Aaravos, Seasons 4 & 5—A Netflix Series Soundtrack on July 28. With original music by Emmy® Award-winning composer Frederik Wiedmann (Star Trek: Picard 3).  This vividly orchestrated score features both familiar harmonies as well as a variety of new themes for the show’s newly introduced characters.

Created and produced by Wonderstorm, Seasons 1-4 of the critically acclaimed animated and Emmy Award-winning animated series are currently streaming on Netflix and Season 5 premiered July 27.

About Season 4

Two years have passed since the Battle for the Storm Spire. Under the guidance of Aaravos, Claudia has resurrected her father, Viren, at great personal cost. But the spell is temporary—and Viren only has 30 days to live unless Aaravos is released from his mysterious prison. As Claudia ventures deeper into the world of Xadia and dark magic, Callum, Rayla, Ezran, and friends race to stop her before it’s too late…

About Season 5

In this exciting next chapter of the “Mystery of Aaravos” arc, we rejoin our heroes after their narrow escape from the depths of Umber Tor. With the map to Aaravos’ prison in hand, Claudia now races against time itself to save Viren’s life. Meanwhile, Callum, Rayla, Ezran and Soren seek out new friends (and old) to help them prevent the return of the infamous Startouch Elf.

The series features the voices of Jack DeSena as Callum, Paula Burrows as Rayla, Sasha Rojen as Ezran, Jason Simpson as Viren, Racquel Belmonte as Claudia, Jesse Inocalla as Soren, Benjamin Callins as Terry, Rena Anakwe as Janal and Erik Todd Dellums as Aaravos.

Notes Wiedmann: “I am absolutely thrilled to be able to continue this saga from my work on Seasons 1-3 of The Dragon Prince. The creators of this show at Wonderstorm have managed to expand on the first three seasons with Season 4 and the upcoming Season 5, creating a wonderful canvas for me to expand the music equally. New characters were introduced requiring a whole set of new themes, as well as the new and unique ‘Main Title’ theme song. We continue to use our vast pallet of exotic instruments that have become such a big part of the sound of Xadia–such as the cello, fiddle, duduk and ethnic flutes–while also incorporating new sounds from a fantastic female vocalist, as well as a ‘quad-flute;’ a flute that plays four notes simultaneously. We also once again utilized a wonderful 40-piece string section to complete some of the more pivotal cues in these two new seasons.”
