Equipment: Previews Exclusive 1000toys Synthetic Human Female Version Action Figure

A couple of years back I was able to do a review for the Synthetic Human figure from 1000toys and it blew me away. I have loved and collected action figures for as long as I can remember and the one thing that draws me to a figure is poseability. I know that this is my opinion, but for me poseability equals playability. The Synthetic Human level of poseability is amazing, clocking in at approximately 29 points.

This time we are reviewing the Synthetic Human Previews Exclusive female figure. My first impression of this figure is that it makes me think of the manga/anime Ghost in the Shell. This figure definitely gives off a Major Kusanagi vibe. There is just something about android figures such as this one that always makes me think of manga/anime. I am probably not the only one that thinks anime right off the bat. Honestly if it wasn’t so cost prohibitive I would love to make an army or recreate the warehouse scene from I Robot.

The Synthetic Human Previews Exclusive Female figure is 1/12th scale and stands approximately 5.3 inches tall and comes with a stand and additional “parts” depending on what is needed for a particular mission. These parts are:

  • 4 sets of hands (3 sets plus the one on the figure)
  • 3 breast plates of various sizes
  • Skull-like faceplate
  • Molded hair

The sets of hands are:

  • Fists
  • Open palms
  • 2 sets of grasping (one is made to hold larger accessories)

The hands can be mixed a matched for whatever the situation calls.

As I previously mentioned this figure is highly poseable. The Synthetic Human’s joints are:

  • Head
  • Neck
  • Shoulder
  • Bicep
  • Chest
  • Stomach
  • Waist
  • Elbow
  • Wrist
  • Hip
  • Thigh
  • Knee (Double Joint)
  • Ankle
  • Foot
  • Toes

One of the things I find most interesting about this figure is that the female version, although considered 1/12th scale, is considerably shorter than her male counterpart. You will see when you look at the photos in the gallery exactly what I mean. I have noticed height differences in both the Star Wars Black Series and the G.I. Joe Classified lines which give a bit of realism since real people come in various heights. It just seems more drastic in the Synthetic Human line.

I really do like the figures in this line and they work well with other figures that are 1/12th such as G.I. Joe Classified figures. The Synthetic Human can hold a variety of weapons such as pistols, rifles and swords, none of which are included.

The Previews Exclusive Synthetic Human Female retails for $89.99 and is available now.
