Lakeshore Records has released Trap
— Original Motion Picture Score digitally now and featuring music by composer Herdís Stefánsdóttir (Knock at the Cabin). The pulsing and ominous orchestral score adds a menacing backdrop to the horror thriller written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The Warner Bros. Pictures’ film starring Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill is in theaters worldwide.

ABOUT HERDÍS STEFÁNSDÓTTIR
Herdís Stefánsdóttir is an Icelandic film composer, producer and songwriter. Herdís Stefánsdóttir graduated with an M.A. degree in film scoring from New York University in 2017. Since graduation she has scored feature films including M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at The Cabin. She has earned multiple awards and nominations for her music including The Icelandic Music Awards, The Icelandic Academy Awards and nominations for The World Soundtrack Awards and Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
Herdís interned for the Oscar nominated composer Jóhann Jóhannsson in Berlin while he was working on the film Arrival (2016) and she has scored numerous short films that have premiered at top-tier festivals around the world like Berlinale, TIFF, Sundance and Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Herdís releases and produces her solo work under artist name Kongulo, she is currently working on her first solo record. Previous art projects include electro-pop duo East of My Youth. Their music has been described as sensual and addictive as getting your tongue frozen to a glacier of pure honey (JaJaJaMusic). The duo has showcased at SXSW, Eurosonic Noorderslag, KEXP, Sonar Reykjavík and Iceland Airwaves.Born in Reykjavík, Iceland, Herdís currently lives between Los Angeles and Rreykjavík.
