In 1821, Don Diego de la Vega, now mayor of Los Angeles, faces major challenges in making his city prosper. The greed of Don Emmanuel, a local businessman, plunges the municipality into financial difficulties. Faced with growing injustice, Diego’s powers as mayor are no longer enough. After twenty years of retirement, he decides to pull out his mask and sword to defend the oppressed under the identity of Zorro. However, this double life jeopardizes his marriage to Gabriella, who is unaware of his secret, and Diego must juggle his responsibilities as mayor with his role as vigilante.
The series airing on Paramount+ and starring Jean Dujardin will be available in France from September 6, and later in 2024 in other European countries and Latin America.

About Julie Roué
When she was a kid, Julie Roué wanted to be an airline pilot. Her myopia decided otherwise. After a few years trying different angles to becoming a musician (piano, Irish bagpipes, guitar, choir singing), Julie Roué went back to her first love: interfaces covered with buttons and studied to become a sound engineer. She went back to music school a few years later, studying harmony and orchestration.
Her musical language uses elements of baroque music, jazz, electro, world music and minimalism, with a strong influence of pop music.
She signed her first original score for a long feature film in 2017 for Montparnasse Bienvenüe, directed by Léonor Serraille, that won the Caméra d’or Award at Cannes Film Festival. Her latest film scores include Fragile by Emma Benestan, The Bare Necessity and No Love Lost by Erwan Le Duc, The (Ex)perience of Love by Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balboni the VR game Fight Back by Céline Tricart and the TV series Mental, Parliament (co-written with François Clos) and Under Control.
In 2024, we will hear her music on TV series : The World Doesn’t Exist (Series Mania Best Music Award), In the shadow and the French Zorro, starring Jean Dujardin.
Besides her film scores, Julie Roué released her first electro pop album About Luke in 2019 and now sings in French under her own name.
She is also one half of the electroclash band Carte Contact who wrote the song “Like A Dog.”
In 2022, she created with the actress and performer Louise Belmas an electro duet named A V I O N. Together, they wrote and perform in Malombra, Why Do Heroins Die In The End? , a hybrid show mixing cinema, theater, electro and pop music.
She is now represented by Martin Delemazure and the agency Grande Ourse.
