Decca Records announces the release of the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Focus Features’ THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND, with music written and performed Tom Basden, featuring vocals by Carey Mulligan. The film releases in select New York and Los Angeles theaters on Friday, March 28, and in theaters everywhere on Friday, April 18. The soundtrack is available digitally today, March 28 and will have a physical release on July 11th.

ABOUT THE BALLAD OF WALLACE ISLAND
The Ballad of Wallis Island follows Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favorite musicians, McGwyer Mortimer (Tom Basden and Carey Mulligan) back together. His fantasy quickly turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig.

ABOUT TOM BASDEN
Tom Basden is an award-winning writer and actor who has written extensively for the BBC, Netflix, and Channel 4. Tom co-created and stars in the multi award-winning PLEBS, ITV2’s longest running sitcom and plays Matt in all three series of the popular Netflix show AFTER LIFE with Ricky Gervais. He features in the Netflix series THE LAST BUS, as well as QUACKS, MANDY for the BBC and THE WINDSORS for Channel 4. Tom can most recently be seen in the second series of his BBC series HERE WE GO, which he both writes and stars in and currently stars in, wrote the original songs, and co-wrote the screenplay for THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND.
