Equipment: Savage Crucible Frazetta’s Warrior with Ball & Chain From Harvinger Studios

According to Harvinger Studios, wave one of the Savage Crucible figures was a resounding success. This is not surprising once you see the quality and craftsmanship that went into each design and sculpt. We were fortunate to be able to review two figures from wave one, Veteris Repax and the Shield of D’Zaera. I was highly impressed with both of these lizard warriors and had been waiting to see what was new. The wait is over.

The first figure in Wave 2 of Savage Crucible starts with a bang. Made in partnership with the Frazetta Art Museum this first figure is, Frazetta’s Warrior with Ball & Chain. This figure looks amazing and will be the best-looking barbarian in your collection (sorry Conan). This sculpt is beautiful and really does justice to the original piece of art.

Aside from incredible sculpts the other thing that makes figures from Harvinger Studios stand out is articulation. Once again, I was not disappointed. The points of articulation on the Warrior with Ball & Chain are:

  • Head
  • Scapula (Shoulder Blades)
  • Shoulders
  • Biceps
  • Chest
  • Elbows (Double)
  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Wrists
  • Knees (Double)
  • Ankles
  • Feet

Not only is this figure extremely poseable but well-armed. Here is the list of weapons:

  • Flail
  • Dagger (scabbard)
  • Sword (scabbard)
  • Shield
  • Cloak/Cape (Wired for posing)
  • Amethyst Sword (this is a bonus weapon in the black envelope)

Also included with the Ball & Chain Warrior are 2 extra sets of hands and a collectible card.

Standing approximately 7 inches tall, this figure is to scale with the other figures in the Savage Crucible line. Suggested retail for the Ball & Chain Warrior is $56.99 and is available wherever you purchase your collectibles or check out the Harvinger Studios website, https://savagecruciblepreorder.com/.

If you are looking for a well-made fantasy figure with exceptional poseability, look no further. Since the first time I spoke with the gang from Harvinger Studios and saw their prototypes I knew they would be producing great figures. They aren’t just a figure company, they are fans as well and they know what people who collect want in an action figure.

If you are going to play with you figure or just display it, bottom line is, you won’t be disappointed.
