Hollywood Records announces the
release of the Predator: Badlands Original Motion Picture Soundtrack with music by Sarah Schachner and Benjamin Wallfisch. The digital soundtrack is available at Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other digital platforms. The film is out in theaters now.
20th Century Studios’ “Predator: Badlands,” directed by Dan Trachtenberg (“Prey”), opens exclusively in theaters today. The newest entry in the “Predator” franchise is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Elle Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary
Commenting on the score, Sarah Schachner says “My score for Predator: Badlands channels the film’s wide emotional range, from epic and brutal to heartfelt and humorous, giving voice to both the Yautja ancestry and the emotional journey at the story’s core. Fusing intimate strings, bold brass, and alien vocal textures, I aimed to capture the spirit of companionship, survival, and discovery in a new world.”
Benjamin Wallfisch comments, “Continuing to write inside of the Predator franchise is a dream come true, especially as it means another collaboration with my good friend and film-making genius, Dan Trachtenberg. It was a joy also to collaborate with the great Sarah Schachner to find a totally unique sound for this totally one-of-a-kind movie. I’m very excited for everyone to finally get to hear what we’ve been cooking up!”
