Lakeshore Records is set to release
Murdaugh: Death in the Family—Original Series Soundtrack digitally today, November 7, with an original score by Emmy-nominated composer and multi-instrumentalist Ariel Marx (Dying For Sex, Black Mirror). Marx’s singular knack for creating strikingly dissonant and atmospheric soundscapes creates an unsettling tone for the horrific true story of the Murdaugh murders case. New episodes of the series are streaming now on Hulu.
Maggie and Alex enjoy a lavish life of privilege as members of one of South Carolina’s most powerful legal dynasties. But when their son Paul is involved in a deadly boat crash, the family is faced with a test unlike any they’ve ever encountered. As details come to light and new challenges emerge, the family’s connections to several mysterious deaths raise questions which threaten everything Maggie and Alex hold dear.
Note Marx: “I’m excited to team up with Lakeshore again to release the score for Murdaugh: Death in the Family. With brushstrokes of acoustic guitars, jaw harps and processed woodwinds, this album explores the southern underbelly and tragic legacy of the Murdaugh family.”
