Lakeshore Records announces the
release of Mercy-Original Motion Picture Soundtrack today, January 23, with an original score by two-time Emmy award-winning and three-time Grammy-nominated composer Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Fallout). Ramin’s intense score conjures an unrelenting backdrop to the intense thriller starring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson. The Amazon MGM Studios film is in theaters now.
In the near future, a detective (Chris Pratt) stands on trial accused of murdering his wife. He has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to the advanced A.I. Judge (Rebecca Ferguson) he once championed, before it determines his fate.
Notes Djawadi: “The score for Mercy is the result of a deeply creative collaboration with director Timur Bekmambetov and producers Charles Roven, Robert Amidon, and Majd Nassif. From frenetic AI-inspired vocal design to helicopters that become synthesizers, the interplay of sound design and music gives this score a unique sound palette that is brought together and grounded by organic instruments, centering humanity in a world inundated with advanced technology.”
