Soundwaves: Hollywood Records & National Geographic Announce Earth Moods: Frequencies VOL. 1–Music by Platinum Producer Maejor

As part of The Walt Disney Company’s National Geographic-led Earth Month campaign “Step into Wonder,” Hollywood Records and National Geographic announce a special Earth Month release titled Earth Moods: Frequencies (Volume 1) with music by pioneering DJ, composer, producer and global sonic architect Maejor, AKA Brandon Michael Green.

Anchored in Nat Geo’s legacy of exploration and storytelling, “Step into Wonder” aims to inspire fans of all ages to deepen their connection to the planet, discover its wonders—both big and small—and care for the world we all share.  The campaign comes to life on Disney+ through the National Geographic Earth Month Collection, celebrating the wonders of our planet through acclaimed National Geographic content like “Earth Moods,” a visually immersive, sound-driven series that showcases the world’s most stunning environments, and “Secrets of the Bees,” a new series debuting today from National Geographic Explorer at Large and executive producer James Cameron.

Earth Moods: Frequencies (Volume 1)’s five tracks of melodic and transportive soundscapes will stream @NatGeo’s YouTube channel and will include National Geographic produced visualizers for each track containing archival images from around the globe. Maejor, a musician who has forged a GrammyÒ-nominated, multi-platinum career as a chart-topping DJ and producer to artists such as Justin Bieber, Drake and Frank Ocean has immersed himself in the therapeutic and spiritual benefits of sound, incorporating ancient tonal frequencies, also known as solfeggio frequencies, in his soundscapes intended to unleash healing and spiritually aligning properties. Inspired as a cancer survivor, Maejor has a tireless capacity for shining a light on the connection between transcendent musical frequencies and wellness.

Notes Maejor: “The Earth has a measurable ‘heartbeat’ known as the Schumann Resonance, a natural frequency that connects every living being to the planet and to each other. My intention is to use sound and vibration to dissolve the illusion of separation and bring our collective awareness back to a state of harmony. By tuning into these natural rhythms, we remember that we are all one, vibrating together in a single, unified song of life!”

Maejor is scheduled as a special host on Disney’s Chill Hour on Sirius/XM on April 19th and 26th. @NatGeo’s YouTube will host a 24/7 livestream featuring Earth Moods: Frequencies (Vol. 1) visualizers on April 26th.

Hollywood Records will release Maejor’s guided meditations on the Hollywood Records YouTubeVevo channel on April 22, Earth Day.
