Lakeshore Records is releasing Scary 
Movie—Music From the Motion Picture digitally today, June 5 with music by composer Haim Mazar (The Iceman). The score is appropriately over the top in its orchestrations and horror trope effects. The Paramount Pictures and Miramax film starring Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris and Regina Hall is in theaters now.
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe. Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.

The music plays the horror completely straight, creating real tension, suspense, and spectacle while the comedy unfolds around it, paying tribute to those musical traditions while introducing a new musical voice for this chapter of the franchise.”

Haim Mazar is a composer working across film and television, with credits spanning studio features, streaming productions, and themed entertainment.

Mazar lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children, where he continues to tell stories in the language that has always felt most natural to him: music.
