Equipment: Star Wars Black Series Clone Troopers of Order 66 Exclusive Set from Entertainment Earth

Senator Palpatine was a very patient man. His devious DSCN6148plan to rule the galaxy took decades to come to fruition but when the moment came it was quick, decisive and brutal. In the final days of the war between the Republic and the Separatists, Obi-Wan Kenobi confronted and defeated General Grievous. That is when everything changed, it was then that Palpatine issued Order 66 to the clone army. The clones were conditioned to follow that order to the letter. Order 66 was the command to execute all Jedi Knights, which they did with ruthless efficiency.  In an instant, allies became enemies and the galaxy became a darker place.

Order 66 was a defining moment in the history of the Empire and Entertainment Earth has something to make sure you never forget that day. The Star Wars Black Series Clone Troopers of Order 66 is a 4 pack of fully articulated 6-inch figures. The Black Series is possibly one of the most popular parts of the Star Wars line from Hasbro. These 6-inch figures are fully poseable and are amazingly sculpted.

Personally, I am of the mind that you can never have too many Stormtrooper figures or, in this case, clone trooper figures. The Star Wars Black Series Clone Troopers of Order 66 set include 4 troopers with unique paint schemes that can only be found in this set. The clone troopers included are:

  • 501st Legion Clone Trooper
  • 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper
  • 442nd Siege Battalion Clone Trooper
  • Shock Trooper

The 501st Legion Clone Troopers are also known as Vader’s Hand and are the troopers that marched on the Jedi Temple with Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Though you may not have known who they were in that movie, this battalion was also in the animated series, The Clone Wars. The clone named Captain Rex was a member of the 501st.

Members of the 501st are easily recognized by the blue accents on their armor.

The figure has multiple points of articulation:

  • head, on a ball joint
  • shoulders
  • biceps
  • double elbow joints
  • double wrist joints
  • chest
  • hips
  • double knee joints
  • ankles
  • feet

The next figure in the set is the 212th Attack Battalion. Fans of the animated series The Clone Wars will recognize troopers of the 212th as the clones that were commanded by General Obi-Wan Kenobi. The most notable clone in this battalion has to be Commander Cody. Cody and Kenobi formed a close bond over course of the war. That friendship was brought to an abrupt halt with the execution of Order 66.

The troopers of the 212th can be recognized by the yellow accents on their armor.

This figure, like the one from the 501st has an amazing amount of poseability. The points of articulation include:

  • head, on a ball joint
  • shoulders
  • biceps
  • double elbow joints
  • double wrist joints
  • chest
  • hips
  • double knee joints
  • ankles
  • feet

Figure number 3 in this box set is from the 442nd Siege Battalion. These troopers are normally associated with utilizing AT-RT walkers (All Terrain Recon Transport). The troops in the 442nd can be identified by the green accents on their armor.

Yet another figure that is incredibly poseable. The points of articulation are:

  • head, on a ball joint
  • shoulders
  • biceps
  • double elbow joints
  • double wrist joints
  • chest
  • hips
  • double knee joints
  • ankles
  • feet

The last figure in this set is the Shock Trooper. These troopers were seen in multiple episodes of The Clone Wars. Mostly stationed on Coruscant they were sometimes referred to as guardsmen. Aside from their appearance in The Clone Wars the Shock Trooper can also be seen in the Star Wars: Battlefront Game.

The Shock Troopers can be identified by the red accents on their armor.

Just like every other figure in this box set this figure has a number of points of articulation. These include:

  • head, on a ball joint
  • shoulders
  • biceps
  • double elbow joints
  • double wrist joints
  • chest
  • hips
  • double knee joints
  • ankles
  • feet

If you are a fan of clone troopers this set is definitely for you. Just like every other figure in the Black Series, these will give you hours of play. Think of it as 6 feet of fun in a 6 inch figure! Hasbro and Entertainment Earth did a great job on this exclusive set.

I almost forgot to mention how cool the packaging is for this set. The set comes housed in a black slipcase that is decorated with Clone Trooper images and a sticker identifying it as an Entertainment Earth exclusive. Each trooper comes housed in his our individual box, much like any other Black Series figure is packaged, but in this case the 4 boxes are connected. I am not sure what the purpose of this is but it surely is unique.

Pick up yours today from the Entertainment Earth website. The set is $99.99 and has free shipping. Keep in mind when they sell out just like Alderaan, they will be gone forever.

Thanks to Entertainment Earth for sending this along!
