It is that time of year again when the toys invade Manhattan. Four days of trying to act like an adult when the child in me just wants to play. The last few years have started with a trip to the amazing Mezco Toyz booth and this year was no different. My fellow reporters and I crowded the booth to the first looks and first photos of what Mezco has in the pipeline for the upcoming year.
I do find it difficult to pick exactly what I think was the show stealer of the booth. There is so many incredible figures that I am tempted to go into debt to get them all. I do have to say that, even though he was there last year, King Kong was one of the stand outs. This massive figure would be so much fun to photograph in the real world.
A couple of figures out of the One:12 line made me drool. Mezco has a Predator and an Alien coming out and they look great! Hell, I am picturing a Batman vs, Predator photoshoot in the future.
Like I stated it was hard to say exactly which of the new figures were the coolest. The 3 ¾ inch Batman figures with 5 points of articulation do look great but I think the Scooby-Doo figures called to my inner child a bit more.
