Sometimes I can’t believe that The Mighty Morphin’ 
Power Rangers are still going strong. I guess that the reason they have endured is because the Power Rangers has a little something for everyone. The show featured battles between colossal robots and giant creatures, highly choreographed martial arts fights and a wee bit of teen angst thrown in for good measure. Seriously, when I was a kid a giant bowl of sugary cereal and hours of cartoons was a perfect Saturday.
I am sure you can look at the reason the show has endurance is because it is constantly being re-invented. Let’s forget that the show had to be re-imagined whenever the producers ran out of footage from Japan…That isn’t important. I personally liked when we got to meet the new Rangers. So we now know why the show has lasted but what about popularity of the toys? The figures in the Power Rangers’ line have always had impressive poseability which is needed to recreate the fight sequences from the show; but when Hasbro picked up the license the line got even better.
Aside from just producing figures, vehicles and role playing toys Hasbro began to produce products for adult collectors. The first two that Hasbro produced was the White Ranger’s Helmet and the Green Ranger’s Green Dragon Dagger both of which really looked great. Next up for the Lightning Collection is the Red Ranger’s Helmet. While these products are slightly more expensive they still will not break the bank.
