Equipment: League of Legends Dual Cities Action Figure Boxed Set from Spin Master

Some of you may wonder; just what is League of Legends? I didn’t know what it was until I looked it up but, in my defense, I am not the game guy for the site. Now I know that League of Legends is an online game developed in 2009 by Riot Games. League of Legends has also spawned an animated series on Netflix (Arcane) and a toy line from Spin Master. Actually the toys are based on Arcane, the television series. The first product from the League of Legends line we are looking at is the League of Legends Dual Cities pack. The Dual Cities pack comes with 5 figures, a stand for each figure and accessories.

These very colorful action figures are:

  • Professor Heimerdinger
  • Caitlyn
  • Jinx
  • Vi
  • Ekko

We will review each figure individually starting with Professor Heimerdinger. This figure stands approximately 2.5 inches tall and has multiple points of articulation. These are:

  • Head
  • Shoulders
  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Thighs

He also comes with 3 accessories: a wrench, a scanning device and some sort of cannon.

Next up is Caitlyn. A former enforcer for the city of Piltover, she is not someone with whom you should mess. This figure stands approximately 4.5 inches tall and is fully poseable. She comes with her sniper rifle. Caitlyn’s poseable points are:

  • Head
  • Shoulders
  • Chest
  • Elbows
  • Hips
  • Thighs
  • Knees

If you are a fan of the show Arcane, you know that Jinx is a bit unstable. This figure is approximately 4.25 inches tall and comes with her pink mini-gun and the Fishbone rocket launcher. Just like every other figure in this line Jinx is poseable. Her moving parts are:

  • Head
  • Shoulders
  • Chest
  • Hips
  • Thighs
  • Knees

The fourth figure in this boxed set is Vi. Vi is approximately 4.25 inches tall and comes with Hex tech powered gauntlets. Vi is also fully poseable with articulation points:

  • Head
  • Chest
  • Elbows
  • Hips
  • Thighs
  • Knees

Last but certainly not least is Ekko. Another character from Zaun, the undercity, Ekko comes equipped with a sword as his weapon. Just like the other figures in this set, Ekko is very poseable. His points of articulation are:

  • Head
  • Shoulders
  • Chest
  • Elbows
  • Hips
  • Thighs
  • Knees

I like that Spin Master has opted to produce part of this line in the 1/18th scale. Going with  this scale makes potential vehicles and playsets cheaper to produce, thus making the line less expensive to purchase. Another reason this scale works so well is that it gives the child a chance to expand their imagination. The child can incorporate the new figures into their already existing play scenarios with other lines of the same scale.

The League of Legends Dual Cities Pack is a great introduction to collecting the line. The figures have great poseability and they look amazing. I am a big fan of Steampunk so I really like the overall look of not just the animated series but the toy line as well.

The League of Legends Dual Cities Pack was named the best “Geeky Gift” of 2021 by Pop Insider which is pretty impressive. The League of Legends set is for collectors 12 & up with a suggested retail price of $49.99 USD. This set is available from the usual places such as Target and Amazon.

A huge thank you goes to Spin Master for sending this set for review!
